Why Go to Paris? This Strawberry Macaron is Calling You Right Here.

We will be back this Saturday! Our first BiteLines food & art tour on the Atlanta BeltLine after quarantine is kicking off, and I am so excited to include Just Add Honey, a local tea company, on our tours. You may remember that they were one of the first Atlanta restaurants I profiled during quarantine. Read more about them here.

They serve teas from all over the world, and their macarons are both gorgeous and delicious. Everything they make and sell is presented elegantly, from their wide selection of teas blended in house to their parTEAs, customized tea parties shipped to your home. And they tell me the owner has visited all the countries where the tea originates - Argentina, China, Sri Lanka, to name a few. Jealous of that!

I have to admit that as much as I love all things Paris and French, I am skeptical of trying French pastries made in the U.S. But one bite into this sweet strawberry macaron changed my mind.

We are proud to support a black-owned Atlanta business and excited to share their luscious desserts on our tours. In all, we sample food from 5 locally owned restaurants, representing Atlanta’s cosmopolitan food scene: Nationally acclaimed Chinese dumplings, guacamole and a margarita (or freshly squeezed limeade if you prefer), Detroit-style pizza, authentic Southern BBQ and of course, the macarons! Look for more features in the coming days on our restaurants.

We have two slots remaining for this week's tour, and bookings available for more Saturdays in June. More dates are coming this summer. Reserve online to join us on a food & art adventure on the Atlanta BeltLine, get a taste of that macaron and experience some of Atlanta's best restaurants.
